Custom container expertise

Guard Shack Containers designed and built in New Jersey.

A well-designed guard shack gives security personnel the visibility, protection, comfort, and controls needed to manage an active entrance. The Mod Shop builds custom container guard houses and security booths in Monroe, New Jersey for warehouses, industrial sites, logistics yards, campuses, construction projects, and controlled facilities across the Northeast.

01

Security space designed around the gate

The checkpoint should support the actual sequence of arrival, verification, communication, and release. We plan sightlines toward approaching vehicles and pedestrians, transaction or credential windows, interior counter space, gate equipment, cameras, lighting, and safe personnel movement.

Container construction provides a durable shell and a practical platform for permanent, temporary, or relocatable security operations. Window size and placement can be tailored to the lane configuration while steel reinforcement maintains the integrity of the modified structure.

  • Industrial and manufacturing entrances
  • Distribution centers and logistics yards
  • Construction and infrastructure sites
  • Campuses, parking facilities, and gated properties
02

All-season comfort and operational readiness

A security booth may operate for long shifts in direct sun, cold weather, wind, and heavy traffic. Insulation, heating, cooling, ventilation, weather seals, and glare-aware window placement contribute to a more comfortable and attentive working environment.

Electrical layouts can support interior and exterior lighting, computers, credential readers, gate controls, communications equipment, cameras, and convenience outlets. Optional counters, storage, protective window guards, canopies, raised platforms, and bollard coordination help adapt the unit to the site.

03

Planning a custom guard booth

Useful project information includes the lane plan, staffing level, operating hours, visibility requirements, equipment list, available utilities, security standard, delivery route, and foundation or placement conditions. These details allow us to recommend an appropriate footprint and opening configuration.

Every project is quoted according to its actual scope. Container condition, structural work, glazing, hardware, systems, finishes, security equipment provisions, delivery, and site constraints all affect cost and schedule.

Frequently asked

Guard Shacks FAQs.

Answers to common planning questions. Final requirements depend on the application, site, and local authorities.

Can a container guard shack provide views in multiple directions?+

Yes. Wide-view window packages can be arranged around the required vehicle and pedestrian approaches while preserving reinforced structural zones.

Can gate controls and cameras be installed?+

The unit can be prepared for gate-control consoles, credential readers, communications, cameras, motion lighting, and other low-voltage systems.

Are guard shack containers climate controlled?+

They can include insulation, heating, cooling, ventilation, and upgraded doors and windows for year-round operation.

Can the booth be relocated later?+

Container-based units are transportable, although utility disconnection, lifting method, site access, and any attached platforms or canopies must be planned.
